The key to providing our customers with competitively priced electricity is the effective development and management of our own generation fleet and strategic procurement of wholesale energy at the lowest possible cost.

AER’s Generation Fleet

AER currently owns and operates 6 MW of solar and wind generation within the network, part of which supplies our customers.

The electricity we provide comes from a combination of renewable energy sources (wind and solar), and from the wholesale market which uses primarily conventional fuels (coal and gas).

100% Renewable Energy by 2025

AER’s has a stated objective of delivering 100% renewable energy to its customers by 2025 through the development and operation of our own renewable energy projects. Our customers will have the satisfaction of indirectly reducing their environmental impact without paying extra for doing so.
